Platform Statement: "At the Lance Armstrong Foundation, we unite people to fight cancer, believing that unity is strength, knowledge is power, and attitude is everything."  My passion for LiveSTRONG stems to eight years ago when my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer.  She fought her battle the best she could, but after six years of fighting, she could no longer hold on.  I lost my mom, my best friend, in November 2006, and I would give anything to have her back.  I know that is impossible, so instead I will continue her fight.  She fought cancer for six years of her life; the very least I can do is live strong for the rest of mine.  Cancer does not deserve another win.
